TOWN HALL MEETING TO DISCUSS MAKE A DIFFERENCE
LOUISIANA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT RESCHEDULED

The City of Natchitoches has rescheduled its Town Hall Meeting for Thursday, May 1 at 5:30 p.m. in the City of Natchitoches Council Chambers, located at 716 Second St. The City is asking for the community’s feedback on the Make a Difference Program grant application. A previous meeting was held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
A survey has been released to the community with suggested activities that align with CDBG national objectives as follows:
• Benefiting low- and moderate-income persons,
• Preventing or eliminating slums or blight, or
• Meeting other community development needs having a particular urgency because existing conditions pose a serious and immediate threat to the health or welfare of the community and other financial resources are not available to meet such needs. (i.e. major catastrophe such as a flood or earthquake that threatens the community’s residents with the spread of serious disease. The community’s other resources may well be depleted and other Federal programs may not be sufficient to cover all the costs).

All residents, particularly low and moderate income persons and residents of blighted areas of the City, are encouraged to attend this meeting. Accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities and non-English speaking individuals provided that three-day notice of such is received by the City. Those citizens unable to attend this hearing may submit their views and proposals until May 9, 2025 in writing to:
