  • 9:30-11am - Saints Junior Training Academy (For youth ages 6-14 @ Natchitoches Central High School):  Advanced registration requested/signed liability waiver required.  Registration and waiver available at www.LaSportsHall.com or by calling 318-238-4255.  
  • Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony: $75 per person for general admission.  (Sponsorships available.)  Natchitoches Events Center, 750 Second Street. Valet Parking.  Attire- suit/tie preferred for men and dress for women.                    
  • 5pm - Reception/Silent Auction
  • 6pm - Induction Dinner and Ceremony:  Begins with national anthem followed by Walk of Legends featuring current and past inductees.

Natchitoches Historic District Wallking Tours (11am & 2pm)

Natchitoches Historic District Wallking Tours (11am & 2pm)

Cane River National Heritage Area and the Natchitoches Historic District Development Commission offers guided walking tours of the Natchitoches National Historic Landmark District twice daily at 11am & 2pm, Tuesday through Saturday. 

The walking tours will cover topics such as: the Cane River region prior to European contact; the French & Spanish colonial period; antebellum plantation culture and period; Reconstruction and tenant farming; architectural history; and Creole and Catholic culture, history and customs. The tours are family friendly and meant to engage all ages.

Tours are free and will begin at the Natchitoches Area Convention and Visitors Bureau located at 780 Front Street. For large group tours, please contact the Cane River National Heritage Area in advance at 318.356.5555.

Family Day in the Park Saturday, June 27

Free family event will feature magic, activities, swimming, food and fun!

 The City of Natchitoches Recreation and Parks Department and My 93.9 FM will host the Second Annual Family Day at the Park on Saturday, June 27, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at City Park on Amulet Street.  This free event will feature family friendly activities including a magic show, swimming, games, concessions, face painting and more.

Activity booths, bounce house, hot dogs, cotton candy and snow cones will be available for all from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Children of all ages will enjoy a free magic show at 9:15 a.m. followed by free balloon animals from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Attendees can also enjoy open swim at City Pool from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  All activities are free and open to the public.
